Time Phrases with Present Perfect

Today we will look at some time phrases (or time expressions) that we commonly use with the present perfect tense.

識咗呢啲 time phrases 之後，考試測驗時做填充或者 MC 題就有線索，知道幾時要用 present perfect tense 啦！

Here are a few examples.

1. over the last hundred years or so

Technology has changed dramatically over the last hundred years or so.

在過往的一百年裏，在科技發展上有着巨大的改變。

2. this is the first time

This is the first time we’ve been to this restaurant.

我哋第一次嚟呢間餐廳（咁耐一路都未嚟過）。

3. lately

Lately, I have thought of writing a blog.

最近，我諗緊寫個 blog。

4. since April

He has gained 10 pounds since April.

自四月以嚟，他重咗成10磅。

5. within the last two months

My family has received three wedding invitations within the last two months.

我屋企呢兩個月之內已經收到三張請帖。
